Have you ever unboxed your new luscious straight wig just for it to look like a hot mess within a week? Well, I have. As we may want to blame the quality of the hair, we all clearly know that is not true. It is probably because we don’t have the essential tools.
Well, don’t worry, that’s not a big deal because we can fix that. As a matter of fact, wigs are one of the most expensive purchases we make in beauty. Thus, we must take care of them.

Here is the list of my 6 most favorite hair styling tools:
1. Canvas Head
The canvas head is the best I’ve ever found. It is also so versatile and can be placed on any table/ desk. I place my wig on it nicely after work to avoid the hair being tangled. Nevertheless, it’s super easy to carefully style the hair with a hot iron, therefore, avoiding heat injuries.
NOTE: Additionally, make sure to measure your head for a perfect fit. Initially, I got a 23-inch canvas head which was way too big for my size. Later, I got a 21-inch, which is a perfect fit.
2. Hair dryer
This hair dryer is the easiest styling tool to use ever.
Furthermore, body wave hair is naturally a little bit wavy even after a wash. For consistent curls, you need a hairdryer to straighten the waves a little bit before curling.
3. Hair Wax Stick
Do you have a problem with hair flyaways? Well, most fine hairs have flyaways, which tend to make the wig look like a wicked mess. To tame the flyaways, you will need to invest in a wax stick and a hot comb. At first, I apply the wax stick around the parting area to make the top look flat and give it a bump at the front for a gorgeous finished look.
4. Ceramic Hot Comb – Hair Styling Tool
If you’re going to use a wax stick for the flyaways, the hot comb is a must-have hair styling tool. Secondly, I use the hot comb to go over where I applied the wax. The hot comb also nicely flattens the wig in place.
5. Curling Wand – Hair Styling Tool
Now the fun part!!! I use this curling wand set to achieve my desired curls of the week. Also, I love that this set has 5 different barrels for different curls look.
6. Flat Iron
Finally, this flat iron has AMAZING reviews. It is definitely my next hair styling tool purchase. It is also equally important if you’re going for a sleek straight hair look.
