1. List down all your daily must-do tasks
When it comes to creating a daily routine schedule, the first most essential step is to write down a list of all your daily must-do tasks. Honestly, it really doesn’t matter how small the task is, but as long as it is important to you.
Think specifically about what needs to be done around your home, for work, and in your personal life to be successful in your day.
For example:
Home
- Cleaning the dishes
- Making the bed
- Meal prep
Work
- Ironing your work clothes
- Replying to emails
- Zoom Meeting
Personal life
- Getting your nails done
- Going for a date
- Hanging out with friends
All in all, whatever your everyday tasks are, write them down to help you create your daily routine schedule.

2. List down any healthy daily routines you want to start
We all have those healthy daily routine goals that we set on our minds to do, but never get done. Lol! not to guilt you but I know I am a huge culprit too.
Do you know why we never get to achieve our “healthy goals”? Dah! it’s because you don’t write them on your planner. Are you surprised, haha?
Anyway, it is a fact that anything you write down on your planner, you most likely accomplish.
So, take another paper, and write down all the health and self-care goals that you would like to incorporate into your daily routine. Also, be as specific as possible.
For example:
Healthy Routines
- Go to the gym every other day for an hour
- Read a book a chapter a day
- Take vitamins every morning

3. Write down all important dates
Believe it or not, creating an effective daily routine corresponds with yearly and month-to-month planning. This is because you don’t want to miss out on any important dates.
And also, so that you can create flexibility within your daily schedule. Let’s say no more, “Oopsie! I didn’t know I have a doctor’s appointment today.”
Therefore, look at your yearly calendar and write down all the important dates.
For example:
Important Dates
- Birthdays
- Doctor’s appointments
- Travel plans
And more…
4. Structure your daily routine in your planner every month
Now that you have written down all your important tasks that would make your day successful, you can go ahead and create a productive daily routine schedule.
Also, make sure to plan your morning, daytime, and night routine accordingly.

Although, one thing I do understand is that everyone operates differently in life. Some people like strict structured routines, whereas, other people like some but not too much structure.
And of course, some extreme people who don’t like structure at all. Let’s just say, they like “going with the flow.” I don’t know about you, but “going with the flow” gives me major anxiety, haha! So, let’s not go there.
But, you can create an effective daily routine schedule that works for you by using either:
- Productivity apps
- Digital calendars
- Planners
Cute Planner Ideas
For instance, I use both google calendar and a daily planner to make sure I am productive and efficient with my time.
Although I do not plan every second of my life, here is a great Youtube video that I think you would love. It shows you how to be productive by effectively blocking your time on google calendar.
So, be intentional. Every end month, strategically plan every day of the next month on google calendar or any kind of planner.
Like, as from when you wake up to when you go to bed.
It’s super easy to create a daily routine schedule because most tasks are repetitive.
And also don’t forget to schedule and set reminders for all your important dates within your daily activities. They may include work plans, travel plans, appointments, social activities, date nights, etc.
5. Try out your new daily routine schedule
Lastly, go ahead and try out your new routine schedule for at least a week. Does it work? Is it reasonable and realistic? Do you need to change anything?
After a week, review it and tweak it for the better.
And that my friend is absolutely it. That is simply how you create a healthy and productive daily routine schedule that works.
