When designing my first apartment living room, I was really obsessed with mid-century modern and boho furniture designs. I specifically chose these two themes because the design matched my apartment living room layout and color finishes.
In addition, I wanted comfortable, high-quality furniture pieces on a budget. Therefore, I took my time to search for my apartment living room furniture months and months in advance.
This post includes affordable living room apartment furniture and decor that I absolutely love from online shops such as Amazon, Walmart, Slumberland, and Target.
Living Room Apartment Furniture Pieces
1. Mid-Century Modern TV Stand For Apartment Living Room
I am really obsessed with my mid-century modern tv stand for my living room apartment. I got the Large white with brown 3d print because it matched well with my open space brown kitchen cabinets. In addition, the tv stand is high quality, sleek and heavy.
2. Mid-Century Modern Coffee Table
One thing I can never trade in my apartment is my mid-century modern coffee table set. This is because I am all for the multipurpose functionality. I use these tables both as my coffee table and side tables when guests are around. Nevertheless, it is of high quality and light to carry around. Therefore, I can move it wherever I want to for different purposes.
3. Moroccan Area Rug For Apartment Living Room
The neutral color and minimalist design of this area rug brightens the room and blends in nicely with any furniture. Also, this Moroccan-style rug is a trooper and definitely a really good purchase for this season of my life.
Just for reference, it has been through pup training, winter, rain, and sunshine, and it still doesn’t have a single stain on it. Well, simply this rug is easy to clean and gorgeous for living room & bedroom spaces. On the contrary, the only downside is that this area rug is not very plush. However, that does not bother me at all because the affordable price is worth it for me.
4. Modern Floor Lamp For Apartment Living Room
Floor Lamps are an amazing way to add lighting to your living room. In my case, this floor lamp was among the last items I bought for my apartment living room furniture.
For a while, I had been searching online for affordable and modern tall lamps. However, my efforts were to no avail. Generally, floor lamps are really pricey. But thank God I stumbled upon this modern and simple floor lamp UNDER $50 in Target. In addition, you can put a three-way bulb to adjust the lighting to your liking.
5. Boho Wicker Egg Chair
This boho wicker chair is perfect for lounging inside your apartment during winter days or on your patio during summer days.
When searching for my apartment living room furniture, I was really obsessed with the boho wicker egg chairs I saw on Pinterest and Instagram. It was definitely a must-buy for me because I work hard, and I deserve it. (I call this chair my she-cave) On a side note, I think everyone deserves she-cave.
For your information, this wicker chair usually sells out pretty fast, and you might need to wait for a while before the shops stock up. For example, when I purchased my wicker chair sometime back, I was lucky enough to get the last one from Walmart before they sold out. So if you really want it, buy it immediately.
6. Minimalist Round Wall Decorative Mirror
For a modern apartment living room feel, definitely having a circle mirror is a must. This mirror is not only a trend but also versatile. For example, you can place it in your living room wall behind the couch, the entryway console table, or on top of your dresser in your bedroom. It simply elevates a space.
7. Cozy Round Pouf
The pouf makes your apartment living room feel cozy. In my case, I usually move my pouf around my living room and deck to support my legs. Therefore, if you don’t own a recliner chair like me, a pouf is very much needed during relaxation times.
8. Mid-Century Modern Accent Chairs
These are cute mid-century modern accent chairs that can be placed in the apartment living room or dining. In my case, I place one of my blue accent chairs close to my main door, purposely for sitting down when putting on or taking off shoes. In addition, I use it for extra sitting when I have guests.
9. Full Length Floor Mirror
I cannot tell you how much I am obsessed with this large full-length floor mirror. This mirror fits in really well in any space. You can put it in your bedroom, office or living room. In my case, I use this gold mirror to quickly glance at myself before I leave and do my daily outfit of the day videos for my Instagram.
10. Sectional Sofa For Apartment Living Room
Last but not least, a comfortable sofa is a must-have and the best investment you can ever make. In addition, having a sectional sofa is great for an apartment living room space because of less clutter. A sectional sofa is not only modern but also saves on space. In my case, I chose this specific sectional sofa because it is so comfortable and I cannot reiterate that enough.
Nevertheless, I chose to buy a white pillow cover to match aesthetics. For personal preference, I was not a fan of the green pillow accents.

In conclusion, other than the wall art, decor, and plants, I believe this is all you need to level up your apartment living room space.
